You mean the "multiclassing tips" section? I'm not sure they were example builds per se, but here you go.

Barbarian: "If you want more offensive power for your barbarian, consider the paladin’s Smiting track. The monk’s Discipline of the Crane augments your defensive abilities and lets you reach enemies who would escape your mighty attacks."
Monk: "Monks wishing to play up their supernatural abilities may choose to take the True Mage track, while stealthier and more subtle monks can benefit from many ranger or rogue tracks."
Paladin: "A paladin wishing to support his party members can take the Spellcasting track of the shaman or tactician and combine it with the Bastion track."
Ranger: "All rangers benefit greatly from the Dragon racial track: Melee rangers gain many extra hit points, and archery rangers can keep out of enemy reach by taking to the skies."
Rogue: "A rogue can make better use of the monk’s incredible mobility than the monk himself, using her abilities to move much more often."
Sage: "If you wish to improve the sage’s defensive and party-buffing abilities, consider the shaman’s Incantation or Spellcasting tracks."
Shaman: "A shaman with the paladin’s Bastion or the sage’s Force of Will as her free track can be even more effective than normal at protecting the party from harm."
Tactician: "Tactician spells synergize well with the paladin’s Bastion track. Tacticians can take the shaman’s Spellcasting track for even more magical power, or exchange their own spells for the Mechanist Savant’s excellent defensive capabilities."

General Legend Discussion / Example Builds From The Older Versions?

I have a quick question. Anyone remember how, in the older versions of the Legend RPG PDF, whenever they list the classes, they also list an example build, like for example: Esoterica Radica, Just Blade, and Heroica tracks listed underneath Rogue (trying to recall something like that)? I'm not sure why they're absent.

I guess my request is, if anyone can do it, to have a list of those example builds.

Essentially a book of pre-built NPCs for the RPG ranging from civilian NPCs to NPCs with classes to even Iconic Characters (the characters you see across the Legend PDF). If you've played Pathfinder, you might have encountered something like that, also called an NPC Codex.

Legend Homebrew / [Setting] The Esoteric Land

Hello. This is gonna be my first entry into the Homebrew forums, and I figured I’d put a setting I’m using for my Legend Fanfiction (Well, it’s more of an original story using the Legend mechanics), which I’ve tentatively named the Esoteric Land. Keep in mind that this setting is a Work in Progress, so I’m making up a bit of it as I go along. Not sure where to begin, but I’ll give the basic premise of what the world is.

Long ago, during what they called the Golden Age, there was a land full of abandoned mines, temples, tombs, and dungeons. During that time, it was a hobby for people to form parties and explore these long forgotten ruins, digging up treasure and spending it on better weapons and gear to do this all over again. These people, in the loosest sense, were called Heroes, for they would do the unthinkable: fighting monsters, dodging death traps, and making it big. Most of the core races got together and their bond was thicker than blood.

However, this would not last forever. The dungeons became scarce just as the economy crashed thanks to just how much treasure was being exchanged. The people became poor, hungry, and desperate. It didn’t help that during that time, a temple that had a slumbering demon in it had been raided, and with it, the demon woke up. It’s rampage across the Esoteric Land cost thousands of lives and sparked a war between the Celestials and the Demons.

Many Heroes were chosen to help fight in the battle of good and evil, which had spent many lives as well, including many members of royalty. Finally, the battle ended when one of the Heroes, a Paladin by the name of Silveon, killed the woken demon Gamio, and brought peace to the land. He was dubbed King by the populous and sat in his newly appointed throne in Potyra.

This came at a heavy cost though. Many of the Heroes that lived gave up on the dungeoning lifestyle. The races split apart, save for the Halflings, which had no home to run to. And soon, the brave men and women who fought the evils and raided the dungeons became legends. Even King Silveon’s tale of the slaying of Gamio became a tale as old as time.

Thus began the Silver Age, named after King Silveon himself. The Celestials and Demons were all but forgotten, as they were sworn only to treat the Esoteric Land as a breeding grounds. While the memories and stories of the Heroes’ feats were just legends, it didn’t mean that it would remain that way. The Heroes have produced children, and their knowledge and skills were passed down from generation to generation. Heroes didn’t die, they evolved to fit the environment.

All it takes is for a group of like-minded people to come together, form a party, and raid a long abandoned dungeon, and the Legend of Heroes will be reborn again. Will one of these people be you?

I think next post will be where I show how the Races fit into setting.

Well, sort of. I use the monsters from 4e. Since they share the same system, they could mesh easily enough.

I've only done one game so far (solo) but I start out at Level 2, with important NPCs being at Level 5. The reason being that the PCs get all their tracks ready while the NPCs have all their second circles unlocked.

Maybe we can do an article where we explain the Kamen Rider references in the track.

Now, could anyone partake in sending articles? Would it be for certain kinds of articles? I might consider contributing to Campfire, but I have the same concern that Regitnui has.
