I like the choose an existing piece of armor bit as  it allows you combine it with your vigilante armor :)

That's likely intentional, as it can give the character a mecha suit/Iron Man feeling. Combine with the Sentient Construct track w/o racial modifiers, and you're a human(oid) in a robot suit.

That's also a good system. You see, with the great variety of non-class tracks, there are going to be people who want to use two or more of them. While Legend is very hard to break, whether in the 3.5 wizard or truenamer direction, it's good to have a way to help them ensure they can contribute equally to the game.

In that case...  level + KDM check.  +1 for each odd circle you possess in this track.

Or a skill check, if you guys can see any relevant skills that work here.  Stealth maybe?

It's more mental that physical. Perception or Bluff;  the former can identify the attack and phase out before it hits, the latter can be flavoured as the creature looking like it's still there but taking no damage. I would lean towards the first, given the current flavour.

It can, but that is a very significant power boost. +5 to will saves by 20 is a significant boost.

So let me get this straight. You're worried about a "very significant power boost" to will saves not functioning properly because few other methods of boosting will saves exist? If the boost is so significant, that's the only boost you need, so you don't need to get other tracks and feats to supplement it? It seems like you're worried about something that's not really there.
No, I mean the will save boost, as a will save boost, is very strong, and affects the balance of the track, while also being necessary for a will save AC to matter.

So our solution is to either remove it or rewire the track. Personally, I like the flavour of it to a degree where I'd rather see it removed than weakened. I mean, a ghost disappearing to dodge an attack? It's one of the standard moves of intangible-at-will characters and a defining characteristic of ghosts.

Well, it's easily enough removed of you think that. The accompanying saving throw bonus can be removed or added on to From the Shadows, which will then become C2 in full.

This needs to be rebuilt from scratch. Unlike the rest, this isn't fixing problems, but completing the track with reference to Iron magi, and then finding a class for it to join. Skalds aren't archers, but this is an archer track. Perhaps it'd be a replacement for the bolt side of Daggers and Bolts.

Since there are a few brave souls who like to build characters without using the classes, so is it possible to help said people by categorizing the tracks into offensive, defensive and support to ensure they have a balanced character?
