In that case, I'd rather change the direrell -2 to Dex. The setasen resemble more humanoid Greys (the alien), so it's more fitting for them to have the Cha penalty. The burly direrell are less likely to be agile, especially since they'd be hunched over books all day.

Great! Every RPG needs a mimic!

That works. So:

  • Elf - +2 Dex, +2 mental, -2 Con
  • Direrell - +2 Int, +2 Con, -2 Cha
  • Setasen - +2 Dex, -2 Cha, ???
  • Felis - +2 Dex, +2 Cha, -2 Int
  • Angel - +2 Wis, Celestial Track
  • Guardian - +2 Con, +2 Int/Dex, -2 Cha

I'm not sure if the Setasen need a third modifier.

And now racial feats... Elves, angels and Guardians have, since they're straight out of the CR, but does anyone have suggestions for feats? A quick summary of culture:

  • Elves - Monarchy, warrior culture, fire-worshippers.
  • Direrell - Democracy, knowledge culture, earth-worshippers.
  • Setasen - Mysterious, exotic culture, water-worshippers.
  • Felis - Anarchy (tribal), Artistic culture, air-worshippers.
  • Angel - Monarchy, fallen culture (not barbarian-level. Modern to late middle ages.)
  • Guardian - Military, no real culture, trying to find the 'Old Masters' who constructed them.

I don't want Felis to be a hairy elf clone, which is why I'm having trouble.

I'm putting together a homebrew setting based in a univerze I've created, and would like some assistance translating the races from my imagination to game mechanics. There are a number of playable races, and I need help assigning racial feats, ability adjustments, etc.

  • Elf - Standard from the CR.
  • Direrell - A cross between a wolf and a neanderthal, philosophers and keepers of the world's knowledge. They're tough, strong and smart, but not particularly charismatic (So +2 Int & Con, -2 Cha?). One of their racial feats is Savvy Librarian.
  • Setasen - Seal-like humanoids who dwell in water. Not sure whether they'd get +2 or -2 to dexsince they're more used to living in the oceans than on land, but they definitely get -2 to Cha, as they have grey skin with all-black eyes.
  • Angel - Racial track from CR
  • Felis - Cat-like humanoids who live in the canopy of the Northern forests. Dextrous and upbeat, I'm not sure what attribute I should drop to compensate. They're hunters and artists.
  • Guardians - Basically robots. Sentient Construct Track

I just picked the first three tracks that popped into my head. -_-'

I guess they weren't that helpful, but they at least short and gave a wealth of info for those willing to dig it up (i.e. DMs)

If I'm interpreting RAW correctly, I can start an elf with Arcantric Accuracy, normally a 6th-level feat?

I know this is old, but would you guys consider a column on Legend's versions of classic monsters/Legend's new monsters? Like for example an article on Dragons that takes the Dragon Racial Track and interprets it to the life cycle/biology of a typical "Legend Dragon"?

Impressive, yes, but really large. One 'problem' in Legend is that there's no real way to summarize a character sheet, or even classes. Where 3.5 says (M Human Fighter 1) Legend says (M Human 1 Dervish; Iron Magi; Elementalist) at the very least.

Well, nice to know I found a good combo without even having read all the way through the rulebook  ;D

Oh, alright. I'm matching them for flavour mostly. Where are the rules (if any) for dual wielding in the Core Rulebook?

The only big clash between the two tracks is the fact that they both give you a [Bonus Attack]. Otherwise, the movement from Dervish and Iron Magi compliment each other rather nicely.

How is getting [Bonus Attack]s from both tracks a clash? Shouldn't they cancel/stack?

Hi, I'm new to Legend and this forum, but I have one question before I set off into this new RPG world:

Reading the Barbarian class description, I liked the 'Dervish' track and the 'Path of the Ancestors' track, but the 'Path of Destruction'? Not so much. That last track just doesn't seem to fit with my decision to make an Elf Dervish; an elegant fighter duel-wielding swords. I decided to switch out 'Path of Destruction' for the 'Iron Magi' track from the Ranger class.

My question(s) is this: Do the attacks while in the War Dance count towards the 'Chain', and can I activate the components and finishers while in the Dance?

Thanks, forumites!
