The Abandoned Laboratory / Re: Incorporeal

This, or we have the rider that [force] effects can still affect you when you're a hostile possession. Think of it less like slipping on a meat suit and more trapping them in your ectoplasm and puppeteering your body that way. So other effects pass through you and hurt your host, while [force]  damage still hits you, due to your [vulnerability] to it.
Nice thought. I like it, but not every group will have force, just as not every group will have dispelling.

That same party would be having trouble with an incorporeal creature from circle 1. At circle 7, easy resurrection is available, so a party member dying coukd be a legitimate strategy. Dragon C7, just as an example, would be a perfect way to expel an opposing spirit.

And also, if a GM throws a incorporeal enemy at their players without making them at least partially aware of  creature's vulnerabilities (research, weaker creatures, etc.) it's a massive dick move.

Being an incurable geek, i have renamed the circles along the theme of... Well, see if you can guess:

1: Grass Whistle
2: Grass Knot
3: Ingrain
4: Stun Spore
5: Cotton Guard
6: Synthesis
7: Frenzy Plant

Spoiler
The theme? Grass-type Pokémon moves. You're welcome

(random)

Possessed person fights back and deals some dice damage + KOM (no damage reduction applies). Still not quite there, I suppose.

I'm still working on my Sebrica Setting Guide; a compilation of homebrew, a few of these 'unfinished' tracks, monsters and a lot of flavour. I might try and full in Hallow, if there's any more material than that sneak peek from the main page

And how's about Amorphous?

Incorpeal
A design space the original alpha and beta did not endeavor to cover well, developers struggled with options for modeling Incorporeal. Unpolished and never settled, Incorporeal was one of the larger hurdles on the road to the Monster Guide, but it was ground we felt was worth covering.

(original:
Any thoughts on these two, more complete tracks? I reckon they're usable, but how balanced are they?)

What are these abilities? EX, SU, SLA?

I like this track. Judging by how Mystify (Homebrew Balance Wizard) has weighed in on it, I would like to use it.

I'd recommend that the website and news page start getting their own staff. Moderators, admin, news staff. None have to be directly connected to the Dev team, since this forum can work equally well for the discussion of the system wothout constant mechamical news. Get one of the Dec team to act as a liaison and appoint and assist both forum staff, news writers and a few fiction writers. It works fairly well elsewhere.

Q249: Sorry if this has been asked before, but does Guidance (Path of the Ancestors C1) stack with Shoot First (Battle's Tempering C1)? Thanks!

Oh, jeez, I haven't written anything in a while... OK, I'll try to get something done for you.

Excellent! Now we get someone with a scan of the 3.5 MM and way too much time on their hands to put this in instead of the 3.5 stats, and we'll have an unofficial Legend Monster Manual. All jokes aside, this is a really useful resource. Downloading!

Alright then, [Lesser resistance] to [fire], upgrading to [Resistance] at level 7, and [Greater resistance] at level 14.

So for some reason I can't open the Rulebook right now. Is it better to say something along the lines of "you gain a +2 bonus (of some kind) to save attempts against [Burning]"?

Would [Resistance] or [Greater resistance] make more sense?
