Legend Mechanics & Balance / Re: Quick Rules Question on Burning

If the [Burning] got put out at some point, then the damage resets to 1d4 following that. Otherwise their action to put the [Burning] out would be pointless.
Legend Mechanics & Balance / Quick Rules Question on Burning

Hey, so I finally managed to get a group willing to try out Legend (They were going to run a 5E campaign but legend interested them more once I showed them the system) so I was refreshing myself with the system and had a question on how exactly burning (and bleeding I suppose as well) works.

So burning states that the target takes 1d4 damage at the beginning of it's turn for each round it has been continuously burning. I am not sure how "Continuously is defined" is it 1d4 damage for each round they have been burning? Or does it reset if they put out the fire but are immediately lit aflame again.

So in this situation.

Round 1:
Player X's Action: Sets Player Y on fire through lets say Flame Kiss (Fire Elemental Track)
Player Y's Action: Takes 1d4 damage and uses their move action to stop the burning condition.

Round 2:
Player X's Action: Sets Player Y on fire again
Player Y's Action: Takes Xd4 damage.

In round 2 do they take 2d4 damage (They have been burning for two straight [Rounds]) or do they take 1d4 damage (They put it out on round 1 and thus weren't "Continuously" burning even if they were relit immediately after).

Figuring this out would be a great help! Thanks
Legend Mechanics & Balance / Area of Effect - Wedge Ruling Help Needed

Hi, I'm a GM, and I'm about to start a campaign with the Legend system. I've been looking at the rules for wedges, and for the life of me, I cannot decipher the wording of the rules. Am I an idiot, or is the wording as confusing as I think it is? I was under the impression that the wedge starts from the source square (either the square you target or the creature/player it comes from), then you choose a non-diagonal direction. This direction is Direction 1 (D1). You then choose Direction 2 (D2), and the the wedge is then a Diagonal Wedge, where the aim is centered between the D1 and D2. If you choose another direction, Direction 3 (D3), then it becomes a, Orthogonal Wedge instead, where D1 is the center, and D2 and D3 are the left and right directions of the spreading wedge. The part I am most confused about is the fact that you have to choose a vertex instead of a side of the source square. I need some hand-holding from this point on, as for some reason I just can't wrap my head around this part of the rules. I think I understand how it works with the Diagonal Wedge, as the corner you choose erupts into the first square of the wedge. I'm confused by the fact that the Orthogonal Wedge has two squares in the beginning of the wedge. Is the line between those two square, and the vertex at the very edge, connected to the vertex of the starting square you choose? If this is the case, then I think a minor edit to avoid possible misunderstandings in the future would be to add a small dot to represent the source vertex of the wedge on the supplied wedge templates on page 335. Thank you for reading.

Change all weapons to a d6 damage, use the Brutal property as needed to increase damage on certain weapons. ALL weapons should have three properties (and can possibly have more, if they're magical and take Sophisticated).

PDF version of the phb2 has been updated.  Significant changes to the Druid class.  Added Avian Track.  Bookmarks should work now for if you download the PDF.

Got a bunch of great folks on the Discord that bioa10 set up (Link in Signature).  We're all making more content, editing and reviewing each others work (DaWaaaaghBabal has been a huge help to me on this book.  Big updates to it still in progress).  Also setting up online Legend games and talking about Modules and the Monster manual.  If you're not on yet, come by and say hi!
