I first heard about legend ages ago, can't quite remember where - probably over on Bay 12. At the time I didn't have a gaming group, and didn't until recently, when i finally decided to GM one.

We began on D&D 3.5, however, that campaign reached a premature end during a bank robbery that combined poor luck with even poorer decision making. Remembering legends, I proposed we begin campaign attempt #2 on Legend, and after a glance over the rules the players soon agreed - not surprising considering their chosen characters consisted of (in D&D): a barbarian/wizard, a fighter/medic (ie heal skill and alchemy), a rather familiar assassin, a druid/paladin (with a bit of rule breaking), and a CC specialist monk.

Probably not going to do much posting, unless hilarity to match the previous campaign ensues, but I'm here to lurk.

Hello and welcome! That, indeed, sounds like a group that would appreciate Legend’s superior multiclassing mechanics, as those combinations would work... not so well in 3.5  :P  Hope fun is had by all!
Legend contributions: As Above, So Below (rewrite); Reap the Whirlwind, A Personal Touch, Kept Secret, Kept Safe (Professional Soldier); Combat Alchemist (extra track)

Oh, hey, an introductions thread. I got into Legend a few months ago when I was invited to join a campaign in a homebrew setting. I've enjoyed how it supported the concept of "Warforged Librarian with a bag full of bombs" straight out of the box, and in general how you end up buying very few unwanted features. It's 3.5 with a lot less class disparity and bean counting and more fun. I approve of the idea that you can and should fluff things however you want.
Legend PC: Librarian, a Sentient Construct/Demoman/Tactician. AB goes up, bombs rain down :)

Hello all,
I just happened upon this game system yesterday on TVTropes. Seems like a ton of fun and I brought it to my gaming group to see if anybody wants to work on builds and play testing. Anyway, I'm a 26 year old Project Manager for a data communication firm, I've been gaming since I was 9, and I hope that I see some more life in these boards in the coming weeks. If anybody has any questions for me or happens to be in the Northwest Arkansas area, drop me a line. Until then, let Lady Luck smile.

Is this thread still going on?  If so...  SALVATE MY FELLOW ROLEPLAYERS!  I am houselyrander, I like long walks on the beachheads of Hell, Laying on Hands, and White Russians.  My favorite Tracks are Just Blade, Incantation, and Battle's Tempering.  My least favorite is Path of the Ancestors.  I'm currently operating out of central Texas and I've got a group I'm pretty attached to right now.

That's all for now, so remember to be good to yourselves and those you love.
