Counterintelligence defies efforts to crack the Freya's designs. Please try again.

The Freya's sensors are picking up the event horizon of a black hole at their furthest southeast corner.

T'Resh Stuntfighter 1 can still see the T'Resh system on its sensors at their easternmost extent.

The intelligence officer snickers at the latest post on CorChan over the Freya's escape. The captain notices his intelligence officer's mirth and questions gruffly,"What's so funny? Are you on that Corsair site again?" The intelligence officer quickly changes the screen and responds,"Not at all sir. I just noticed a funny shape on the sensors. There will be a black hole's event horizon coming up on our left." "Funny enough to produce a giggle?" "It was- uh - shaped like a rabbit, sir." The captain blows out his mustache and lips similar to the fashion of a horse,"Just keep watch on all fronts. We don't want to be caught surprised." "Yessir," the intelligence officer responded as he switched back to scrolling CorChan.

Second verse, same as the first. Hyperdrive 5ss south, exit speed warp 3 south. Stealth still on.

Most people say you can't taste space. T'Resh respectfully disagree. Becky, having just named herself, begins to "observe" her surroundings in a most peculiar fashion - by waving around the strange tendrils protruding from her body, and growing an eye here and there out of the spaces between her ridged bone semi-exoskeleton to take in its surroundings - sniffing for her intended prey. All the while her mind is busy at work, transmitting signals with its home planet in an attempt to scrounge up intelligence on it's quarry.

Making an intelligence check.

The black hole comes into view at the far east of the Freya's sensor range. It appears to be 2SS in diameter.

The intelligence officer makes a disgusted face at the latest creepypasta on CorChan by the T'Resh. They're attempts at intelligence come out rather weirdly when translated into code. "What now?" queries the captain. The intelligence officer switches away once again and responds,"Oh, uh, black holes interact very weirdly with our sensors captain. It makes some pretty creepy looking stuff."  The captain blows a sigh, "Do try to concentrate." "Yes sir."

I will cautiously go again and allow Gkathellar a banked turn. Another turn headed south at hyperdrive 5, exit speed warp 3. Stealth still up.

The Freya advances southward. A sensor blip southwest of its position is a large and unknown Cosmozoa, a space animal that may potentially be hostile. It is three space sectors within the Freya's sensor radius from its westmost boundary, and one space sector within from its southernmost. The black hole remains off to the east, still well within sensor radius.

While the Freya-related thread seems to die down pretty quickly and the Corsairs seem to return to a more standard variety of obscenity within hours, the flotilla is abuzz with activity. Roaches are prepared, refueled, re-armed, and blessed by the lolpriests of the One Who Hides In Ceilings, Meme of Knowing. A crowd of masked pilots jostles and fights in front of each fighter, and when the maintenance crews are done the lolpriests select the loudest and most outlandishly dressed crowdmember to pilot each Roach. They are shot off as they are ready, beginning a sweep-search in every direction where intelligence efforts have failed

Using my two banked turns to deploy 4 Roaches from the corsair home system. One shoots off 4SS north, another 4SS south, another 4SS west, and the last 4SS east.

Two Roaches deploy from the southern Corsair dock world and two more from the northern. From the southern dock world, Roach 1 moves west, Roach 2 moves north; from the northern, Roach 3 south and Roach 4 east.

"Cosmozoa captain." "Gesundheit, what is it?" "No, a Cosmozoa Captain." What the hell is that?" "It's a giant space animal sir." "Where the hell do you get this stuff?" "Just the sensors sir." "Is it a threat?" "Not if we don't provoke it sir." "Well let's keep it in provoked then. Proceed."

Letting Valixes take a banked turn for this one. Hyperdrive 5 south, exit speed warp 3 south. Stealth still on.

When the Freya exits hyperspace, the Cosmozoa has displaced itself to be northwest of the Freya's new position. The black hole is now in northeast section of the Freya's sensor range.

It's confusing to read the thoughts of a creature the size of a air craft carrier. It's even more confusing to read those thoughts when they themselves are confused, as Becky struggles around in the emptiness of space without rhyme or reason to her movement, continuing to rebound impulses of information from here to home. Becky doesn't like flying blind.

Becky first makes an intelligence check. Using my banked turn, I will then move 2SS South.

The T'Resh Stuntfighter spots the toxic vapors of the Indon Reach two space sectors south of its position. The result of a T'Resh Abomination gone horribly wrong (even by T'Resh standards), the vast Indon Reach contains gases that interfere with numerous ship systems. Unless you're a T'Resh.

Knowing his ship's a little too beat-up to continue on in, our lone Roach pilot — let's call him Pilot J — casts his sensors wide and hammers the F5 key to try to find something a little bigger. At last, he picks up on it: a lone Corsair stuntfighter drifting through the void, in good repair but without any discernible life-signs. He glides in close to it, seals up his suit, gets everything he needs, and takes a short jump out of his old Roach's airlock, grabbing hold of the Leaky Shoe and proceeding to DDOS its own airlock doors open.

Pilot J finds the ship's former owner dead at the wheel — looks like he mashed the keyboard with his face just a little too hard. Leaky Shoes run heavier than Roaches, but there's no standardization of them in the Corsair fleet — the pilot owns his ship, customizes it, and takes care of it. This one looks like one of those horrible blind salamanders, with the phrase "Axalotl? It's an abomination, essentially." painted onto the hull. A quick inspection shows that all the energy poured into forced memes could have been better used maintaining the ship's inertial dampeners. Pilot J makes some quick repairs, and tosses the poor unfortunate headdesk victim out the airlock, muttering a prayer of, "Son I am disappoint" for the lost.

With that, he takes the Leaky Shoe's helm and sets off into the wild unknown.

Deploying a Leaky Shoe from near the space station battle. It heads 3SS south at a speed of warp 3, and drops its Emergency Beacon.

The Freya sees only empty space around it. The black hole is now beyond its sensors.

The Leaky Shoe releases its beacon. It sees nothing else within its sensor range.
