13th Age
« on: June 29, 2012, 09:55:06 PM »
The Escalation edition is out. It's a game that is pretty much a D&D clone by 3.5 and 4e designers.

While I haven't read it enough to be sure if it is good, it has some neat ideas. Also, it's better then 5e  :P

Anyone else looking at this?

I've been following some reviews and such for it.  I am intrigued by the resumes of the designers, as well as the escalation die mechanic.  I'm skeptical of the Icons stuff and the "unique character trait" mechanic.

But although I've found some reviews of this game to read, I haven't found any official rules or other more-detailed stuff that would let me really judge the quality of this system without first shelling out money for it.  Any suggestions?
